OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - A red flag warning is in effect for much of Oklahoma because of a very high risk of wildfires Friday.
The National Weather Service says the warning is in effect from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. Friday for most of Oklahoma, except the Panhandle and southeast section of the state. The weather service says mild, dry and breezy conditions will create a very high to extreme risk for wildfires.
Forecasters say winds of 15 mph to 30 mph are expected Friday with gusts up to 40 mph. Temperatures could reach the 70s Friday.
