NORMAN, Okla. (AP) - The National Weather Service has issued winter storm watches for parts of Oklahoma.
The watches will be in effect from Friday evening through late Saturday night.
Forecasters say freezing rain is expected to develop Friday evening through early Saturday morning. The precipitation could change to rain on Saturday as it warms up, but forecasters say that it's expected to change back to snow late Saturday afternoon through Saturday night.
There are watches affect much of northern Oklahoma and parts of central Oklahoma. Oklahoma City, Stillwater, Ponca City and Tulsa are among the cities covered by the watches.
