No one injured during fire at home near Downtown Amarillo
AMARILLO, Texas (KVII) —
No one was injured during a fire at a home near Downtown Amarillo Monday afternoon.
According to the Amarillo Fire Department, firefighters were sent to a fire at 1111 North Taylor Street around 12:40 p.m. When crews arrived at the scene, they found heavy fire showing through the back of the home.
AFD said a vehicle that was parking right behind the home was involved in the fire, which extended into the kitchen and dining room area of the home.
The fire was under control just before 1 p.m., AFD said, and no one was injured.
The cause of the fire, as well as how much damage was caused, is currently under investigation.
