A naked patient fled from Northwest Texas Hospital and attempted to steal cars in the parking lot on Saturday.
Russell Scott Saylor, 36, approached an adult male and his infant son in the parking lot and demanded the keys to his vehicle. The victim managed to get away. Saylor then confronted three women and tried to take the car keys of one of the women. When she refused, he grabbed her purse to try to locate the keys. The victim was able to escape as Saylor attempted to get into the vehicle by opening the passenger door.
The hospital staff and security were able to catch up to Saylor as he ran to 1500 S. Coulter. Police found him on the floor of the hospital with injuries after he attempted to climb through the ceiling and fell through to the ground. Saylor was arrested by the police and booked into the Potter County Detention Center for two counts of robbery, along with outstanding local felony warrants for unlawful possession of a firearm and evading arrest or detention with a prior conviction.
