More than 200 students attend Youth Job Fair

      Businesses at the Amarillo Youth Job Fair conducted on-the-spot interviews.

      T here may be a few months left in the classroom , but it doesn't mean it's too early for students to begin the job hunt.

      A marillo College Community Link and Workforce Solutions Panhandle partnered to bring students and employers together in one place for the first Youth Job Fair.

      With 20 employers present and nearly 500 open positions, some businesses didn't waste any time beginning the interview process..

      Steve Cross with Workforce Solutions said, "O ften times they wait until school is out , and we wanted to try to be proactive and start that connection between young people and employers early .

      M ore than 200 students attended the job fair.
