MORE Church car show fundraiser to fight human trafficking

MORE Church held its first fight against human trafficking fundraiser Saturday.

According to the U.S. State Department, 600,000 to 800,000 people are trafficked across international borders every year.

More than 70 percent of those people are female and half are children.

MORE Church partnered with local car owners to bring awareness to the issue in the Amarillo area.

â??Human trafficking is a very serious problem,â?? Christine Stickrod, MORE Church pastor, said. â??Itâ??s the number one growing criminal industry in the world and we are just really passionate about bringing it to an end. Itâ??s just so unjust and harmful to the victim.â??

Pastors of MORE Church said a portion of the proceeds will go to the education branch at family supports services.
