Men killed in plane crash have been identified

Department of Public Safety has released the names of the two men killed in the plane crash. The passenger, 57-year-old Andrew Arnold Hanson and pilot 59-year-old William Runyan Ellett were both pronounced dead at the scene. DPS has also confirmed the plane was taking off from Tradewind when it crashed.

A small plane crash in south Amarillo has claimed the lives of two men.

It happened around 7:14 this morning a small multi-engine plane clipped the side of the Arctic Glacier building on 47th Street, behind the United on Washington.

Two male passengers in the plane have been confirmed dead.

The identities of the men have not been released, pending the notification of next of kin.

A DPS spokesman has confirmed that two men have died in a plane crash inside of Amarillo. The small multi engine plane went down by the Arctic Glacier Ice company on S.W. 47th, which is right behind the United on Washington.
