M oore County Crime Stoppers is asking for the public's help in locating a man wanted for forgery.
On Jan. 11, 2013 the Dumas Waterwell Service Incorporated offices were broken into. The person who broke into the building stole cash and checks from the building.
Approximately four days later, another business informed Dumas Waterwell Service Incorporated that Bobby Perry, 42, was trying to cash forged checks from the business.
At the time of the notification, the manager of Dumas Waterwell Service Inc., Dawn McCullough Brown noticed that several of the company checks were missing.
Perry is a former employee and is believed to be in the Amarillo area trying to cash the checks through companies that will cash two-party checks. According to Brown, Perry has already been able to cash a check for $7,000.
"We are just trying to inform the community so that no one else is affected by this," Brown said.
While it is not clear if Perry was the person who broke into the Dumas Waterwell Service Inc. offices, police do know that he is the one trying to cash the checks.
