onday afternoon Amarillo Police responded to a reported stabbing on 10th and south Madison.
When officers arrived they found a man suffering from three puncture wounds to his upper body. The man told police that he was sitting in the alley when a black man he did not know came up to him, the man then stabbed him and ran away.
Witnesses told police that the incident occurred in the 700 block of south Adams. They told police that they saw the victim with another man. When they tried to break up the fight, the suspect ran away.
According to police, the suspect is a black male who was wearing a red or orange shirt and jeans. It is believed that the suspect is a transient that frequents the area.
The victim was treated at the hospital for his injuries which are not life-threatening. There have been no arrests at this time.
