Richard Schaublin, 41, was found guilty Wednesday of soliciting a child with an electronic device to engage in sexual activity by a Clovis Jury.
Schaublin was charged after an undercover operation by Curry County Sheriff's Office posed as a 15-year-old girl online. Schaublin began a relationship with the girl via social media, texts and email. He arranged to meet the girl and planned to take her to his house and engage in sexual activity.
On October 2, 2011 Schaublin was taken into custody at the pre-arranged meeting place.
Sentencing is set for next week where Schaublin faces three years in prison.
