Man arrested for traffic warrant, failing to stop and render aid

ast night at approximately 11:00 p.m. Amarillo Police Department officers responded to a traffic collision at 22nd and south Bolton. Responding officers found a Buick Riviera had been traveling northbound struck a Chevrolet pickup that disregarded a stop sign.
Police said the Buick stuck the side of the pickup which caused the pickup to roll and hit a utility pole. The driver of the Buick was transported to a hospital with a non life-threatening head injury. The driver of the pickup fled the scene, two passengers of the truck were still on scene. One was treated for minor injuries and the other denied treatment.
Officers learned who the driver of the pickup was a later found him walking in the 4600 block of south Bonham. 40-year-old Michael Ray Kennedy was arrested by APD for failure to stop and render aid and a traffic warrant. Kennedy was booked into the Randall County Jail.
