CNN -- A Michigan sheriff said orange is no longer the new black in his jail.
He thinks the Netflix prison drama glorifies life behind bars, so he's changing inmates' uniforms.
'Orange is the New Black' may be a television hit, but you won't find Saginaw County Sheriff William Federspiel binge-watching the prison drama. He's never seen a full episode.
Federspiel said spending time behind bars is no laughing matter.
That's why he swapped the orange jail jumpsuits for black and white stripes. He doesn't want his inmates getting the wrong impression.
Parolee Michael McGinnis is not happy with the change in wardrobe. He claimed it's demeaning for inmates.
Not everyone shares McGinnis' point of view, though. A local resident sarcastically comments, "My heart bleeds for them."
