Hundreds of flights canceled in Texas

DALLAS (AP) - Hundreds of flights have been canceled in Texas as an ice storm blankets the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

Dallas-based Southwest Airlines canceled nearly 80 flights systemwide Friday. More than half of Southwest's cancellations were at its main hub of Dallas Love Field.

Fort Worth-based American Airlines and American Eagle canceled nearly 500 flights through Friday morning systemwide due to weather.

Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport reported more than 330 flights canceled Friday by various carriers, mainly morning departures.
