      Hartley Co. crash kills 1, injures 4

      One woman died and four others were injured after a Saturday morning car crash in Hartley County, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

      DPS said around 9:54 a.m. Cara Elaine Davis, 29 of Boulder, Colorado was traveling north on U-S Highway 385, five miles south of Channing when she possibly fell asleep at the wheel of a Honda Civic.

      She crossed over into the southbound lane and collided head-on into a Toyota Sienna carrying four people from Dallas, Kannan Krishna, 44, Geetha Subramanian, 38, a 6 year-old and a 2 year-old.

      Davis died at the scene from injuries sustained from the crash.

      The occupants of the Sienna sustained minor injuries.

      According to DPS, all involved in the crash were wearing seatbelts
