Townsquare Media partnered with William Owens to present "God, Guns and The Constitution" Friday evening.
The non-partisan town hall meeting provided an open forum for discussion on the future of the country. Amarillo was the second stop on the three-day tour.
"It has a strong religious awareness, and it has also a fearlessness about expressing itself, expressing it's sentiments toward this dynamic of "God, of guns, and of the Constitution." said Owens.
The town hall-style series focused on key political issues in a localized setting.
"It gives people a chance to engage, it gives a chance for people to give feedback," said Owens. "It gives a chance for people to not just listen to talking heads, but to participate, to exchange ideas".
The future of the youth of the nation was one of the biggest concerns for local residents.
"I feel like we're not leaving them with very much to look forward to. Our generation had the perfect time and perfect setting and I don't think they're going to have that," said Amarillo resident, Renee Coker.
The final stop of the tour will be on March 23, 2013 at 4-Bar-K in Lubbock. The discussion will begin at 7:00 p.m.
