Researchers from the U.K. are cautioning that the salt from stomach remedies and other effervescent pills may contribute to high blood pressure, and make heart problems worse. The researchers looked back at more than a million people, some who took those high-sodium dissolving medications, others who took regular pills.
hey found that the people who had suffered heart attacks, stroke, and even death were 18% more likely to be in the group taking high sodium effervescent medications.
