Amarillo Special Crimes and the Fire Marshal's office are investigating a Sunday night fire and shooting that sent two people to the hospital.

Crews were called out to a home in the 900 block of Tennessee on a report of a fire.

There was one burn victim, according to Amarillo Police.

A subsequent investigation found there was a second person with a gunshot wound.

Both people were transported to an Amarillo hospital for treatment.

"We're still in the middle of the investigation right now. I don't have any names to give you, any ages of anybody at all but right now what we have is a burn victim and a gunshot victim so we're going to keep on with the investigation for a while and once we get some more information we'll be able to get you some more details." said Lt. Erick Bohannan from Potter-Randall Special Crimes.
