      English Field legacy continues

The Texas Air And Space Museum is getting a lot of visitors during Spring Break.

They attribute the rise in numbers to their new DC-3.

The museum was once located at the old English Field but that facility fell into disrepair.

People have been flying in the Texas Panhandle since the twenties.

Later, Amarillo was a stopping place for east-west flight traffic.

Planes would gas up and folks would eat at the restaurant at English Field.

Today many folks do the same thing, but they do it at Tac- Air at the English Field House.
