Amarillo Police are currently looking for several suspects believed to be involved in an early morning robbery of a slots amusement business in Amarillo.
In a news release, APD said officers were dispatched early Saturday morning to the 2700 block of Amarillo Boulevard West after the robbery occurred. APD said officers were informed that three or four male suspects forced their way into the building as an employee opened the door for customers and robbed several employees and patrons.
At least on suspect was armed with a shotgun and fired several rounds to get everyone's attention. The employees and patrons were then forced to the ground as the suspects began to take money and other items from them. APD also said that one employee was later forced into an office area where another shot was fired and additional items damaged.
According to APD, the suspects ultimately fled the scene and that there is no additional suspect description at this time.
No one was injured by any of the gunshots, APD said.
