Eating for a cause

On Thursday, July 18, 2013 in Amarillo, State Agriculture Commissioner Todd Staples kicked off a statewide dine-out week known as the GO TEXAN restaurant round-up.

Starting Monday, July 22, 2013 you can eat out shamelessly, knowing you're getting a good meal and your money is going toward a good cause.

The statewide dine-out goes on from July 22-28, 2013 and the restaurants participating will showcase locally-produced foods and beverages to help support Texas farmers and ranchers.

That's not the only strong feature of this campaign.

Amarillo restaurants like Joe Daddy's, Macaroni Joe's, Joe Taco, and La Fiesta Grande will also be donating to local food banks to help feed hungry Texans in need.
