With the weather on everyone's mind, TxDOT is warning drivers of dangerous road conditions. They called in crews from the Southern Lubbock district to prepare for the worst.
They want to make sure workers are not out in the dangerous conditions for longer than they need to be. No matter how much TxDOT salts and clears the roads, spokesman Paul Braun said it's the drivers responsibility to make sure to drive slowly and give yourself lots of time.
"The thing we're concerned most with this storm is the blowing snow that's going to reduce visibility to almost zero, and that can close roadways and cause real problems," said Paul Braun, the TxDOT.
TxDOT is also asking if you are driving on the interstate and see crews working that you keep a safe distance.
