More than 120 pounds of marijuana was seized and one man was arrested during a Thursday night traffic stop in Carson County.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a Texas Highway Patrol trooper stopped a 2009 Toyota Camry on I-40 near Conway around 11 p.m. on Thursday. The driver of the vehicle, 43-year-old Jacob Kent, was arrested during the stop.

DPS said a K-9 Unit was called to the scene and the dog alerted on the vehicle. During a search of the vehicle, the trooper found five large packages of marijuana wrapped in cellophane inside the trunk.

Kent was charged with Felony Possession of Marijuana and booked into the Carson County Jail, according to DPS.

DPS said the marijuana is worth about $730,00 and was allegedly being transported from Las Vegas to Richmond, Virginia.
