During a traffic stop on March 3, the Texas Department of Public Safety seized 11 pounds of methamphetamine, valued at more $408,000.
Near Conway in Carson County, at approximately 1:30 p.m., a DPS trooper pulled over a 1999 Oldsmobile Alero traveling eastbound on I-40 for a traffic violation. During the traffic stop, the trooper discovered more than 11 pounds of liquid methamphetamine in the windshield washer reservoir.
The drive was identified as Cesar Resendez, 25, of Los Angeles. Resendez was placed under arrest for possession of a controlled substance, a first-degree felony, and booked into the carson County Jail. The illegal drugs were allegedly being transported from Los Angeles to Nashville, Tenn.
