DPS seizes more than $1M worth of Heroin

During a regular traffic stop on Saturday a Texas Department of Public Safety Trooper found 6 pounds of heroin.
Saturday afternoon at approximately 2:12 p.m. a DPS Trooper stopped a 2012 Nissan Altima that was traveling east on Interstate 40 near Conway for a traffic violation.
During the stop, the trooper searched the vehicle and found six pounds of heroin inside the side rocker panel. The estimated value of the heroin is $1,075,101.31.
27-year-old Roberto Carrillo Beltran of Calif., was arrested and booked into the Carson County Jail for possession of a controlled substance.
According to DPS the drugs were being transported from Los Angeles Calif., to Tulsa Okla.
