DPS seizes $313K of illegal drugs in Carson County traffic stop
CARSON COUNTY, Texas (KVII) —
The Texas Department of Public Safety seized $313,000 worth of methamphetamine during a traffic stop in Carson County on Monday.
According to officials, a DPS Trooper stopped a 2010 Toyota passenger car traveling east on I-40 near Conway around 9:50 a.m. for a traffic violation.
The Trooper discovered three tape-wrapped containers of methamphetamine inside the door panels, worth approximately $313,000.
Authorities said 24-year-old Tevin Byers and 35-year-old Natasha Jamas of Palmdale, California and 30-year-old Porsha Lloyd of Los Angeles, were arrested and charged with felony possession of a controlled substance.
The three were transported and booked into the Carson County jail.
The drugs were allegedly being transported from Palmdale to Oklahoma City.
