DPS: $3.6M worth of meth seized in traffic stop

Monday morning at approximately 6:50 a.m. a Texas Department of Public Safety trooper stopped a Winnebago traveling east on Interstate 40 for a traffic violation.
During the traffic stop, the trooper searched the vehicle and found 45,500 grams of methamphetamine located inside false compartments of the Winnebago. The drugs are estimated to be worth $3,600,000.
58-year-old Felix Lopez Vasquez and his passenger 43-year-old Victor Hugo Gutierrez were arrested for possession of a controlled substance. Vasquez and Gutierrez were booked into the Carson County Jail.
According to DPS, the drugs were being transported from Perris, Calif. to Tulsa, Okla.
