      DPS: $111,000 of marijuana seized along I-40

      Troopers net more than $100,000 in marijuana duing a traffic stop along I-40

      During a routine traffic stop Sunday, Texas Department of Public Safety troopers, seized more than 25 pounds of marijuana along eastbound I-40.

      According to a release from DPS, more than 25 lbs of marijuana was found after troopers stopped a 2014 Nissan Versa, for a traffic violation, near Conway in Carson County.

      Jo Beth Bynum, 28 of Klamath Falls, Ore., identified as the driver of the vehicle was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and booked into the Carson County Jail.

      According to the troopers, the marijuana had a value at almost $111,000, was bundled together in 22 packets in the trunk of the vehicle.

      The troopers allege the drugs were being transported from Klamath Fall, Ore., to Memphis, Tenn.
