Amarillo police are conducting several water rescues in front of CiCi's Pizza, at 34th and Sleepy Hollow, and Sandy and Bell. According to scanner traffic, the access road between Bell and Coulter has been closed due to stalled vehicles.

Paul Braun with TxDOT, said that I-40 and Bell is closed, and I-40 and Washington has been closed. Braun also said that this is normal, it doesn't take much water for the roads to flood and be shut down, all they can do is wait for the water to go down. If it continues, its likely more roads will have to be closed.
