The Don Harrington Discovery Center is hosting an "adults only" event Friday night as part of their After Dark series. The event goes from 7-10 p.m.
Tickets are $35 for DHDC Members, and $45 for non-members.
Events organizers said Musicology: The Science of Music will focus on varying aspects of music, such as vibrations and volumes. There will be catering and an open bar, along with science exhibits and hands-on demonstrations.
"Our After Dark series came about when we really wanted to have events for the adults. Since we are a science museum, we mostly open it to the kids," said Discovery Center Organizer Mandi Ried. "We wanted to get something out there for the adults. We typically do after darks about once every 3 months or so."
T here will be live music, food and drink, and even adult games.
"There will be hors d'oeuvres and things people can get, there will be a bar where people can come and get drinks. We're going to have 3 different music bands and people playing. Pam Landis will be here playing violin...we're going to have Zac Wilkerson here who will be playing acoustic guitar and we're also going to have Turbine Toolshed.")
