Investigation ongoing after body found inside Potter County fireworks stand
AMARILLO, Texas (KVII) —
The Potter County Sheriff's Office is investigating after a deceased man was found inside a fireworks stand in Potter County.
According to PCSO, a phone call was received Wednesday morning just before 9:30 a.m. from members of a surveying company. The workers were in the area of I-40 West and Helium Road when they say they found a deceased man.
PCSO said the body was reportedly found inside a fireworks stand. Deputies went to the scene and found a deceased 56-year-old man.
The person appeared to have been homeless but had taken shelter inside the fireworks stand, according to PCSO. Foul play is not suspected but there is an investigation ongoing.
The identity of the deceased man is being withheld until next of kin is notified.
