DA: Clovis teen detained after violating court order
CLOVIS, New Mexico (KVII) —
A Curry County judge has detained a 16-year-old Clovis girl, who is facing multiple assault charges, after a hearing to review the conditions of her release Friday, according to District Attorney Andrea Reeb.
The teenager was previously released to the custody of her parents but was barred from accessing any communication devices as a condition of her release. She has now been found to have been in violation of that court order.
The minor is facing three counts of assault upon a school employee, one count of assault for causing Clovis High School students to believe they were in immediate danger, and one count of interference with public officials or general public.
A trial date has been scheduled for November.
