Fri, 22 Nov 2013 19:02:08 GMT — Bobby Lee, the owner of The Big Texan Steak House says the restaurant is at a crossroads and is looking at major expansion in the City.The restaurant is one of the most internationally recognized tourist destinations in the country.It has been in its currently location since 1970.It was built using lumber from the old Pantex village that owner Bob Lee bought.The original Big Texan was on Amarillo Boulevard.Itâ??s now Chuckâ??s Mobile Home and RV Supply.Bob Leeâ??s first restaurant was housed in the old English Field terminal.Bobby and Danny Lee, Bobâ??s sons operate the restaurant now and have given it added tourist appeal.
KVII serves the Amarillo, Texas and Panhandle region with local news, sports and weather for the city and surrounding towns, including Canyon, Hereford, Borger, Pampa, Dalhart, Dumas, Childress, Perryton, Clarendon, Texas; Guymon, Oklahoma; and Clovis, Portales, Tucumcari, New Mexico.
