Crimestoppers efforts are bringing the fugitives in.
Cpl. Sean Slover is reporting that the efforts of Crimestoppers to bring in Amarillo fugitives are having success.
On Sept. 6, Estevan Joel Delao evaded APD officers in a foot chase. A warrant was issued for his arrest on the charge of Evading Arrest with a Previous Conviction. The same day at 9:35 p.m. Delao turned himself in with the Potter County Sheriff's Office.
August 30, Crimestoppers released information on Roderick Gerome Alexander, wanted for Dangerous Drug Warrants by Potter County. Based on a tip APD was able to locate Alexander. Officers took Alexander into custody for his warrants and also charged him with a new crime of possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.
