Bowers City Fire in Gray County estimated at 1,750 acres
GRAY COUNTY, Texas (KVII) —

The Bowers City Fire in Gray County is now 100 percent contained, according to the Texas A&M Fire Service. GPS mapping has the total acreage at 1,415.
Crews are still patrolling the fire to ensure hot spots do not spark the fire back up.
UPDATE: 9:34 PM
Fire is now 70% contained at 1,750 acres.
UPDATE: 8:06 p.m.
Fire is now 50% contained at 1,750 acres. The Texas A&M Forest Service says crews are making good process to completely contain the fire.
UPDATE: 6:30 p.m.
The Bowers City Fire in Gray County is now estimated at 1,000 acres with 20 percent containment. The Texas A&M Forest Service reports that forward progress has been stopped and the active fire is on the flanks.
UPDATE: 3:14 p.m.
The Texas A&M Forest Service has responded to the Bowers City Fire in Gray County. Local firefighters are estimating the fire at 600 acres.
Gray County fire crews are working a fire to the southeast of Pampa.
