Tue, 18 Jun 2013 14:34:15 GMT — Tx-DOT will begin construction soon to repair the Canadian River Bridge.In about a week TX-DOT will put it out to bid.They say they hope to award the bid this month.Then work should begin about a month after that.The almost three-and-a-half million dollar project should be completed in a year.Paul Braun, TX-DOT spokesman says, "Our number one priority at TX-DOT is safety and that includes the safety of our bridges. We inspect the condition of our bridges at least once every two yearsâ?|.And when it looks like it needs to be rehabilitated or replace, it qualifies for funding."Construction will be done on the southbound bridge. Traffic will be diverted to the northbound lane.
