Clovis man shoots parents then himself

A Clovis man shot his parents and then himself Friday morning, police said.

It was at about 11:00 Friday morning when Curry County Sheriff's Deputies arrived at a home in the 4200 block of Homestead, just southwest of Clovis. Information given to Deputies indicated that Daniel Serna, 25, had shot his parents.

According to the Sheriff's Office, Crusita Sena, 66, had been fatally wounded and Ramon Sena, 64, was critically wounded with multiple gunshot wounds.

Ramon was transported to the Plains Regional Medical Center and was later taken to a Lubbock hospital.

During the investigation, it was discovered that another family member was at nearby Mesa Elementary School. As a precaution, authorities locked the school down. School officials confirmed to Pronews 7 that all students were kept safe.

At about noon, Daniel Serna was found in his vehicle in the area of Curry Roads "L" and "7". He had suffered an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, the Sheriff's Office confirmed.

He was transported to Plains Regional Medical Center where he later died.
