Authorities say a 36-year-old Clovis man was arrested after a police chase.
Authorities were searching for Matthew Zientara on Monday after he did not return to custody from a court-ordered furlough. While agents with a Curry County drug task force were executing a search warrant on Zientara's residence, they say Zientara drove by and fled when authorities tried to stop him.
A pursuit ended in a crash with a Clovis police car and Zientara was arrested.
Authorities say a search of Zientara's residence turned up several bags of methamphetamines and narcotics paraphernalia. They say two people at the residence were arrested and charged with possession of meth and drug paraphernalia.
Zientara has been charged with aggravated assault on a police officer and resisting, evading or eluding a police officer.
