Clovis Community College closed due to bomb threat; schools placed on lockdown

Clovis Community College was "vacated" on Tuesday due to a bomb threat.

According to a post on the CCC Facebook page, the college was closed at 1 p.m. on Tuesday "until further notice." The post said for people not to report to campus "at this time."

The CCC's Twitter account stated the closure was "due to a bomb threat." All of CCC's campus was closed and will remain closed for the rest of the day.

The Clovis Municipal School District was also placed on a "level one lockdown" Tuesday.

According to a post on the Clovis Municipal Schools Facebook page, all schools were placed on lockdown as a precautionary measure as of 2:50 p.m. EMT "due to several buildings receiving threats."
