Many people made their way to Sunset Center Saturday afternoon to drink some cold brew and support the organization that helps babies to be tucked in properly.
"Give the education to newborn caregivers and, also, we give away cribs to those who can't afford it," Cribs for Life Vice President Kent Fletcher stated.
With nearly 100 types of beer to sample, catered food and a silent auction, it is no wonder the fundraiser is such a success.
"We tried to do something a little different here in Amarillo," Fletcher said. "There never has been a beer tasting deal, so we decided to try this and it worked out really well last year. We had all kinds of people show up and we appreciate their support and we hope they come back out this year."
Fletcher said the organization hopes to continue lowering the trend of cribless babies, and he thinks that is possible with all the support Cribs for Life has gotten from the community.
Every three tickets that were sold at the event provided a crib for a Panhandle baby.
