Canyon Aqua Park set to open Saturday for summer

The Canyon Aqua Park will be officially opening its doors for summer business this weekend!

Starting May 26th, summer hours for the water park will be:

  • Monday through Friday: 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Saturday: 12 p.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Sunday: 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.

According to Andrew Neighbors, manager of Canyon Aqua Park, the water park is expected to be crowded for opening weekend. Neighbors tells ABC 7 News for guests to anticipate some long lines and get there as early as you can.

The CAP is also offering season passes this summer. Thursday, May 24, is the last day to purchase season passes early. From 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, those that are wanting to purchase season passes or take their pass photos will be able to at the CAP during those two hours. Officials ask that you bring proof of residency, otherwise you will be charged for the non-resident season pass fee.

According to the Canyon Aqua Park website, season pass prices are as follows:

  • Individual Season Pass Resident - $124.71
  • Individual Season Pass Non-Resident - $199.53
  • Family Season Pass Resident - $351.04
  • Family Season Pass Non-Resident - $452.65

Season passes are good for unlimited visits to the CAP. Also included in season passes are free guest passes, which will enable the pass holder to bring guests to the park once over the summer. The purchaser is also eligible to participate in pass holder exclusive offers and receive a 10 percent discount on all concession purchases.

Admission is $8 for all guests, except children three and under get in for free. Guests are prohibited to bring food and drinks into the CAP, but both are available to be purchased at the concession stand. The only toys that are allowed inside of the park are soft water balls.

Regular season for the park ends on Aug. 14. After this date, the park will only be open on weekends from Aug. 18 to Sept. 3.

The CAP is located in Conner Park at 1900 12th Avenue in Canyon.
