Bushland bridge reopens
Bushland, Texas —
Construction congestion cleared in Bushland Wednesday.
The westbound lands of I40 on the Bushland bridge reopened along with RM 2381 under the bridge.
A semi veered off the interstate in February in a fiery crash that killed the driver. The bridge was unstable after significant damage. Westbound traffic was detoured to the frontage road since late February.
TXDOT torn down the westbound section and replaced it beginning in August. The project was accelerated and completed in 60 days.
Drivers need to continue to use caution on and around the bridge. Workers will be in the area for the next few weeks.
J. Lee Milligan, Inc. worked on the $1.3 million project.
