Bikers come together to help hit and run victim

Clive Weaver is the victim of a hit and run accident.

He says he was riding his motorcycle when a vehicle struck him and fled the scene last month.

Clive lost his leg from the knee down after his accident and now his friends and the motorcycling community are getting together to help him with his medical bills.

Sunday, August 4, 2013, groups of bikers took part in a poker run, called Strive for Clive, which ended at 6th Street Saloon for lunch, live music, and a silent auction.

"We are really blessed to still have Clive with us. He lost a little, but he's here and that's what counts." said friend of Clive, Michelle Nemoede.

Clive showed his appreciation for all of the support as he greeted bikers when they signed up at Tripp's Harley Davidson.

"I don't know what to say. I've never seen so many people come together for a guy they didn't know to help him out." said Clive "I'm really humbled by it all."

Clive said he hopes people will watch out for bikers on the roads so that accidents like his can be avoided.
