Police identify woman who tried to rob South Amarillo bank

Authorities share name of women who tried to rob South Amarillo bank Monday evening

Police were sent to the Citizen's Bank at 4117 South Georgia on a possible robbery Monday afternoon.

The caller told officers a female entered the bank and told employees that she was robbing the bank.

The female did not have a weapon and did not get any money from the bank. She left the area in a green Toyota car going north on Georgia Street.

The caller was able to give officers the license plate number on the vehicle. Officers located the suspect driving north on Georgia and stopped her at Southwest 10th and South Georgia.

Police said 32-year-old Lashondra Deniece Sandoval-Martin was arrested for robbery and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Sandoval-Martin was booked into the Randall County Jail. No employees were injured during the incident.
