      Arrest made in double homicide case

      The Amarillo Police Department issued two murder warrants for Nga Lone Aung, 38, for the murders of Phetkeo Phetkeo and Phonsavahn Phetsavahn which took place on June 7.

      The Amarillo Police Department issued two murder warrants for Nga Lone Aung, 38, for the murders of Phetkeo Phetkeo and Phonsavahn Phetsavahn which took place on June 7.

      A marillo police officers were called to 1216 Jasmine around 12:13 a.m. June 7 on shots fired and a female down. Officers arrived and found a man had been killed from what appeared to be a gunshot wound. A female was suffering from what also appeared to be a gunshot wound. That female, 45-year-old Phonsavahn Phetsavahn, was taken by ambulance to a local hospital where she later died. The male victim has been identified as 52-year-old Phetkeo Phetkeo.

      Justice of the Peace Thomas Jones ordered autopsies which were scheduled for June 9 in Lubbock.

      On June18, investigators of the Special Crimes Unit obtained information that Aung was in Liberal, Kan.

      Officers of the LIberal Police Department were contacted and arrested Aung. He was booked into the Seward County Jail in Liberal.
