Armed suspect robs Amarillo convenience store

Wednesday night at approximately 11:22 p.m. Amarillo Police Department Officers responded to a robbery call at a Toot'N Totum in the 1500 block of south Washington.

According to police a man entered the store with a small black handgun and a white plastic sack. The man approached the counter and demanded money from an employee who then put the contents of the register into the bag. The man then left the store and was last seen running south.

APD said the suspect is believed to be a Hispanic male five-foot-seven inches to five-foot-eight inches tall with a very slim build. He was wearing a black or dark colored hat and hooded shirt, sunglasses, gloves, dark colored pants and had a blue bandana over the lower part of his face.

No injuries were reported and APD said no arrests have been made at this time.
