Armed man robs Amarillo business

Amarillo Police Department is investigating an armed robbery of an Amarillo Boulevard business.
APD officers responded to Lydia's Fashion and Design in the 2200 block of Amarillo Boulevard East Thursday night at approximately 7:06 p.m. According to APD, the victim told officers that a man came into the store, picked up 8 to 10 Valentine's Day gift baskets and attempted to leave. As the victim approached the man, he lifted his shirt exposing a handgun and told her to step back or he would shoot. The man then ran out of the store as other employees followed him picking up the baskets he dropped as he ran away.
At this time APD officers are investigating the incident. The man is described as a clean-cut white male, 5ft. 9 inches tall, 25 to 30 years of age with a slim build. He was last seen running east from the store wearing a red shirt over another shirt and jeans.
