A suspect was arrested on May 6 in relation to an April 26 Toot'n Totum armed robbery. A warrant was issued on May 2 for Fausto Rivera Jr., 27, and about 3 p.m. yesterday, Amarillo police officers located Rivera in the attic of a home in the 2600 block of S. Washington. He was booked into Randall County Jail.
On April 26 at around 9:26 p.m., officers were sent to the Toot'n Totum Store at 4041 S. Washington on an armed robbery.
The employee reported that the suspect approached the register to purchase a drink. When the employee was about to ring up the purchase, the suspect produced a large knife and demanded all the money.
The man repeated his demand for the money and also cigarettes. The employee handed the suspect the money from the register. The suspect walked out of the store.
He was last seen that night walking southbound toward 41st Ave. He was described as a Hispanic male, 5'8", approximately 200 pounds, wearing sunglasses, tan coat with hood, a black shirt, and blue jeans.
