Amarillo Police investigators have found that the two light colored vehicles were NOT involved in this incident.
AMARILLO -- Amarillo Police are asking for the public's help in identifying two men who broke into a woman's home, robbed, beat and tied her up.
Amarillo Police officers were called to a home on Prestwick lane, about 8pm on March 4th, were they found a broken window, where burglers had forced their way into the home.
Police entered the home upon hearing screams come from within. Officers found a woman with her hands bound by shoe strings.
The victim told police that she was attacked near her kitchen by two black males wearing dark clothing, baseball caps and gloves. They repeatedly hit her and held her to the floor.
The suspects demanded money from the victim. The suspects tied her and put her in a closet and then began searching the house for items to steal then left the home.
The suspects are described as two black males ages 25 to 30, one slim and the other of medium build.
Investigators believe that the men were watching the neighborhood, parked nearby, possibly for sometime prior to the robbery. The suspects may have been in a four door car and a late model van, both light colored.
The victim's injuries were not serious.
