On March 9, 2013 Amarillo Police Officers responded to a robbery call at a residence in Amarillo.
A female victim told officers that she was in the drive through of a fast food restaurant in the 2200 block of South Ross when a man tried to rob her. According to the victim, a blue or purple car pulled up behind her. A man then got out of the car and approached her vehicle. The man pressed a gun against her shoulder and told her to give him her wallet. The man kept demanding her wallet until the woman began yelling and honking the car horn. The man then got back into his vehicle and drove away.
APD Investigators later identified the suspect as 25-year-old Michael Anthony Medrano. He was finally located and arrested on May 15, 2013 at a house in the 700 block of north Garfield.
Medrano was arrested without incident and taken to the Potter County Detention Center.
