APD: Man arrested on stolen motorcycle


uesday afternoon Amarillo Police Department motorcycle officers stopped a motorcycle speeding through a school zone in the 6500 block of Fulton. The driver of the motorcycle stopped but as officers approached the driver sped off.

According to APD, the motorcycle was later found abandoned in the 4000 block of Montague. It was later determined the motorcycle had been stolen the previous day. Witnesses told police that a male suspect had been scene walking away from the area and told investigators which way he was heading.

The suspect was later located in the 4000 block of Pinehurst. Police arrested 36-year-old David Scott Nunn after a short foot chase. Officers then went to a residence in the 4000 block of Oakhurst to gather more information about Nunn. It was there that investigators found another stolen motorcycle.

Nunn was booked into the Randall County Jail for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, evading arrest/detention and for an outstanding Randall County warrant.

The incident is still under investigation.
